Auditions for Chatswood Musical Society's October production of Gypsy start in less than a week!
There are a wonderful range of characters throughout the show, from children to adults, actors to dancers, burlesque artists to a dancing cow. Signature roles include the ultimate stage mother Rose, her long-suffering partner Herbie, and Rose's daughter Louise, the initially awkward teenager who is thrust into the burlesque limelight and becomes Gypsy Rose Lee, the world's most famous striptease artist.
Not to mention the fabulous dance opportunities! If you are a dancer and have been hanging out for a show that goes well beyond the box-step, this is the show for you. And this is a show not just for the dancing girls, there are fantastic roles for a core set of male dancers including the quintessential song-and-dance role of Tulsa.
Get in early and book your audition, the spots are filling up!
