Auditions will be held on Saturday, 25 August 2007 from 2pm at the Perth Horse and Pony Club, Jon Sanders Drive, Herdsman for Arena's production of the one-act play "Gary's Place" written by Ellen Jurik and Dominica Malcolm. Gary's Place is to be performed at the Garrick Theatre in Guildford for Dramafest 2007, and will be directed by Jeremy Malcolm.

The play takes place in Gary and Suzie's apartment when Suzie has a pregnancy scare, Gary encounters his past, and Francine and Brandon force their friends to make some significant life choices. Although the play is one act, it features several changes of time period.

The roles for which auditions are being held are:

* Gary (20-30): uni student; funny, effeminate, flamboyant

* Suzie: (18-25): uni student and Gary's roommate; trusting, honest

* Brandon: (25-30): Suzie's brother, Brandon's friend; self-interested
