I heard that the auditions are booked out. Is this true?

Hi Catrina,

They are popular but not booked out. We'll extend the times if we have to do so.

Just make sure that you do book a time by contacting me on 9291 5045 or yakyakyak@iinet.net.au

Thanks
Kim

Is there a specific age

Is there a specific age limit for people auditioning?

Spelling Bee - Age Limit

For the "children" you must be baby faced and under around 35. For the adults - Miss Peretti needs to be look believably 32 -38. Mitch Mahoney 20 - 40 and Panch 40 - 60.

Lower age limit - around 17.

So no specific limit. If that is confusing please email me.

Sorry Louie-chick. This one is only for adults. Keep your eye on this site though, as things come up from time to time.

Hi Kimberley,
I was just wondering if the performance dates (May 8 - 30) are 'set in stone' so to speak, as I am wanting to audition but it may clash with another commitment should these dates change.

I was also wondering if it is still possible to get an audition time. If so I will be in contact.

Cheers,
Sam.

Hi Sam,

We are negotiating the dates. They will certainly be between April 18 and May 30 and be 4 consecutive weeks.

We have extended the audition time, so yes, we still have spots available. Call or email me.

Two problems with your observation:

1) "PlayLovers" as a group/company do not govern the audition/casting process, all decisions in that regard are made by the productions Director.

2) I know there were 17+ hours of auditions that the Director and her selection team put themselves through and I seriously doubt that they would have done that if they intended to use the "same people they always do"... I mean...why bother?? Not logical.

One final thing: a question for you... Which words couldn't you spell?

Ok.. Troll baiting all done. I'll behave now.

"Be nice to your Tech's - or they'll turn out the lights and go home!"
