Upstart Theatre Company will shortly be launching its SHAKESPEARE ON THE LAKE: THE TAMING OF THE SHREW season at the Ellenbrook Woodlake Amphitheatre, Ellenbrook: PROUDLY SPONSORED BY THE CITY OF SWAN this December 2008!

To do so, we are holding a second round of auditions to fully cast the play, details as follows:

WHAT: 2 hour group workshop audition, preparation of a Shakespeare monologue is not necessary.

WHAT TO BRING: yourself in loose, comfortable clothing and footwear, water bottle recommended.

WHEN: Choose which timeslot you wish to attend;

Saturday 27th September 12-2pm

OR

Sunday 28th September 12-2pm

WHERE: Our future rehearsal venue; First Salter Point Scout Hall, Elderfield Road, Manning.

ABOUT UPSTART & THE PRODUCTION: This will be Upstart Theatre Company's inaugural production, the first of many company productions with the simple rationale of a "good story well told". This is our goal, to produce both classical and contemporary works for the stage in innovative but essential ways, accessing as wide a theatre loving public as possible, at low admission prices.

Hence the SHAKESPEARE ON THE LAKE concept as sponsored by the CITY OF SWAN, providing free admission. A free summer Shakespeare event exposed to a wide populace accessing quality theatre. Audiences are encouraged to make a gold coin donation to cover the production's costs and help to reimburse the cast and crew's time and effort.
