After the huge success of The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, Upstart Theatre Company is returning to its roots and announcing one of our most ambitious projects to date.
A season in repertory
Performed within the dark and haunting walls of PS Art Space Fremantle, one cast of actors will tackle both of these thrilling plays on alternating nights. Directed by Garreth Bradshaw and Patrick Downes, two of Perth’s most exciting directors, this will be a fast paced, truthful and brutal season of assassinations, prophecy, witchcraft and blood.
This will be a Co-op production.

Prepare: 12 lines of Shakespeare and bring a copy of the monologue to the audition. Your audition will be followed by an interview. Please bring with you a CV and headshot. The whole audition should take 15 minutes.

Peter describes 'A Country Retreat" as a comedy-drama with a few current social issues thrown in for good measure. Is it possible to “get away from it all”? Maybe…… maybe not. The play is set in a rural area of the South West WA and presents real characters in believable situations. A play for our time.
Bookings open April 8 through Morris News 9440 1040
Season runs from May 10 to May 25
