3rd Place: Russia 23 points

Final Night 7/07/07

I've got to say, I am very proud to have played a part in this production and it has been the most fun I have had. The final night winner came down to the last vote (Russia). The scores were:

1st Place: Hungary 40 points
2nd Place: Russia 36 points
3rd Place: a tie between Liechtenstein and Estonia 23 points

Overall

Estonia - 6 nights
Russia - 3 nights
Ireland - 2 nights
England - 1 night
Hungary - 1 night

Honestly every person on stage deserved to bask in the 'winners circle'. It is interesting to note that the professional production has deleted France and Germany (well made Liechtenstein represent Germany) from the show they are taking to Edinburgh and they were the two countries that generally polled the lowest overall. Nothing absolutely to do with the actors (Ben & Casey) who were magnificent. The same can also be said of the other countries that rarely made the top 5.

To all who came and watched the show: I hope you have enjoyed this as much as, dare I be so bold, ALL of us on & off stage have, in bringing it to you.

Manly Musical Society (Sydney) presents
Oklahoma!

David Izzard

Oklahoma! is the one of the first of what were called the American ‘book’ musicals where the music and lyrics added to and expanded on the story and as a result includes such classics as “Oh what a beautiful morning”, “Surrey with a fringe on top” and the cheeky “I’m jest a girl who Caint say no”. Manly Musical society in association with Bizzie productions have taken this well-loved musical and breathed new life into it with an amazingly talented young cast. The result is a vibrant and energetic retelling of this much loved piece. Book your tickets today to see the best of Sydney community theatre come together to present one of the most loved musicals of our time.
