To my understanding, Frog is one of the leading Theatrical Casting Agents in Perth. However, you will have to fork out a little for attention. I joined up with them but have never heard regarding anything. This was because they were not prepared to put me forward for any auditions until they had seen my work.

I invited them on several occasions to attend shows I was in offering the Complimentary tickets but they took me up on it with unfulfilled promises. "Yeah, sure we'll come." then never show.

I later found out that I was expected to attend one of their training workshops rather than demonstrate my work. Workshops which do not come cheap, but then they rarely do these days. I was not able to put together the money to attend and so never heard back. Ever.

In my mind, this is simply wrong. It's akin to preferential treatment. If an agency is truely interested in what they do, then they would make effort to at least investigate the talent out there. That in my books means giving as many opportunities as possible, following through with promises made, and taking the effort to seek out talent instead of waiting for it to come to you with a full portfolio and established history, show-reel, etc.

I've been with Frog for over a year now, and I've found them to be quite good. I've managed to find a fair amount of work through them. So no complaints this end. I think the truth is that you'll have stories no matter what agency you go with, you just have to prove to you respective agent that your good enough to be able to get out there and get some work. All the best with your agency hunting.

Ive been with Frog for a while and they have always treated me with respect and ive got a fair bit of work from them- word of warning though, they don't take anyone that they havent seen before, some may find this a hassle but i find it reassuring that they represent people who are of a fairly high standard. But again, like any agent, they are busy and don't need to be over polite so you have to expect that, the arts business is the hardest and toughest profession to break into so dont expect it to be a piece of cake! no one is going to hand it to you.

And for the record ive found Martina lovely, but she is extremley honest and down to earth and of course she has bad days like everyone else.

Its pretty much the same at any agency either your liked or your not unfortunately

Thought you knew Grimm’s fairy tales? Think again.
Once upon a time…
Hidden in the crevices, drawn from the gutters and alleyways of life, comes a startling retelling of classic fairy tales.
This deliciously wicked and dangerously funny one-woman show stars Helpmann Award winning actor and singer Ursula Yovich (Australia, Jindabyne, Waltzing The Wilarra) playing a cast of bit characters from the stories of Rapunzel, Red Riding Hood, Cinderella and more.
From one of Australia’s most original contemporary playwrights, Vanessa Bates (Checklist for an Armed Robber), this is a black comedy with songs – a night of stories told by twilight (the original kind) with werewolves and with magic…
