The Western Australian Department of Culture and the Arts is pleased to invite proposals to the newly established Major Production Fund.
The Major Production Fund has been established under the dynamic $73million Ignite package of initiatives designed to transform dance, literature, new media, theatre, music and visual arts, as well as change the shape of WA’s cultural landscape. Within the Ignite Package the Major Production Fund has been allocated $5 million, to be spent over four years.
The Major Production Fund will enable innovative, large-scale works of outstanding international quality to be produced by Western Australian artists and arts organisations, and premiered to the Western Australian community before going on to be presented nationally or internationally.
Any art form or hybrid art forms will be considered.
Proposals for the Major Production Fund’s first round must be submitted by
5pm (WST), 15 July 2008
Guidelines for the Fund can be downloaded from the DCA website
