My Prescription For Enduring The End Of The World

Vlady | 16/08/2010 - 19:58

S.M.E.G. presents “My Prescription For Enduring The End Of The World” by James Khoo directed by Vlady T

An original Australian work written by an up-and-coming Melbourne playwright James Khoo mixing the genres of Ancient Greek tragedy, Brecht’s Epic Theatre, Theatre of Absurd, Shakespearean Elizabethan theatre and infomercials. Also it has bogans eating burgers. It is not your everyday apocalyptic play.
Utilising satire and comedy, the play confronts such issues as consumerism, environmental problems, insanity of the modern corporate culture, weapons trade, family problems and human relationships.

Featuring James Khoo, AK Boyce, Daniela Spiteri, Andrea Neo, Aaron Matthews and Vlady T.

Warning: the play contains coarse language and adult themes and may offend some audiences.

Old Council Chambers, Trades Hall, corner of Victoria St and Lygon St

Season: Wednesday 8 September – Saturday 11 September 7:30 PM
