Hello all,
We have just finished a script and are ready to start looking for cast members. The technical team has been established. The short film will likely be entered in 2009 short film festivals. Tropfest was the intended target but we are having doubts if is a 'Tropfest style' film.
We are looking for:
A 16-21 year old to play a former violinist in her late teens who is now deaf. Requires learning a bit of sign language and at least the actions of playing a violin.
A women who appears to be in there late 20's
An older man in his 40' - 50's
Sorry but all cast members are working for experience, the glory and a free lunch.
Although this is my no means a large scale production it is competent production that will turn out professionally. Our production team has a lot of knowledge and we are working on a budget shooting with professional equipment.
We are filming in Sydney.
Shooting dates have now been confirmed but will be the first half of 2009.
So anyone who is interested or wants more information on the script email me: urax@bigpond.net.au
Cheers -Adam

Oklahoma! is the one of the first of what were called the American ‘book’ musicals where the music and lyrics added to and expanded on the story and as a result includes such classics as “Oh what a beautiful morning”, “Surrey with a fringe on top” and the cheeky “I’m jest a girl who Caint say no”. Manly Musical society in association with Bizzie productions have taken this well-loved musical and breathed new life into it with an amazingly talented young cast. The result is a vibrant and energetic retelling of this much loved piece. Book your tickets today to see the best of Sydney community theatre come together to present one of the most loved musicals of our time.
