Mandurah are also hosting their one act comp again this year.
I think it's the end of July. It was originally slated earlier in the year, but has been moved back.

This is me contacting you. How does one put forward a play to be included for DramaFest, if one is so inclined?

DramaFest is a State Competition for associated Theatre Groups to submit One Act Plays they have (or will) present in their individual One-Act-Seasons during that same year. Each Club can submit two productions/plays from their current season.

Usually the club you are connected with would be provided forms and details for application from the DramaFest reps.

However, I get the impression that you are requesting as an individual submission, not associated with any theatre group as such. Don't quote me on this, if you are then I think you are out of luck in this case.

Hi Julia,

You can certainly enter a play  without doing so under the umbrella of a club.

If you are a personal member ($25/year) then that entitles you to enter without having to pay double the entry fee. It has happened before, but not often, however go for it if you do not want to do it as part of a member club season.

The forms haven't yet gone out.

Melville is currently looking to fill spots for our season (and we are hosting Dramafest this year).

You can probably get entry forms as an independent show from Norma Davis. If you drop her a line and are very, very, very nice to her, she might be so kind as to post you what you need.

Dearest Norma-Most Awesomest and Way Coolest of All Normas,

Is one able to enter as an independent as per Marilyn's very kind and helpful suggestion? If so, O Brilliant and Grouse One, how does a chick go about getting the required forms?

And you contact the ITA office, with your address and ask to be sent an Expression of Interest.

(Sorry...I know you emailed me about this...I thought I'd answered but obviously not.)

Email me with your address if you like and I will pass it on.

How exciting its at Melville! I'm the only member of my family that hasn't performed on that stage. (auditioned yes - but obviously didn't 'perform' so well!)
