All,

Award winning ECU film team are looking for 3 female actresses aged 11-15, 18-25 & 50-60 yrs of age for a new non-profit film project.

We are also looking for roughly 5 extras and make-up artists who really want to play aroun with prosphetics and just plain go wild with dark creativity.

Project-

The proposed project is an 8 minute short film Titled “Hush Little Baby”. The project is a very visual and sound orientated film that was written to incorporate these film techniques rather than dialogue to create the atmosphere and push the idea of the film along. The film is trying to use these techniques to really try and identify for the audience how an infant sees the world, through sound and sight.

Film Synopsis –

“Hush Little Baby” is a story that is looking at the horrible problem of ‘Sudden infant Death Syndrome’ (SIDS). As nobody knows for sure the exact reason for why this terrible event happens to so many newborn infants, the film is interpreting what the dreams of the infant will envisage, the night of its occurrence. What it looks and sounds like; and how they would lead to the death of the child. Although fictional in nature, the film will take the viewer on a roller coaster ride of emotions, with haunting images, taunting crescendo sound and brief but short-lived hope. The use of disturbing images and piecing sound will give the viewer some understanding of what would lead the innocent mind of these infants to shutdown and cease the life of the child. It is a painful journey but one that will hopefully bring more awareness from the audience to fight harder for a cure and help us all understand the greater power the mind truly possesses.

Auditions are from Mon 28th Aug till Sun 3rd Sept with Production to commence Sept 6 and run for about 4weeks (mainly weekend shoots and some weeknights).

If you are interested in a role in this new film that is being formatted to be entered into TropFest as well as a special Gala viewing at the end of the semester at an undisclosed cinema with people from the industry Please email me your CV & photo to alladnek2@hotmail.com or andrew.kendall@holtfreters.com.au
