There is a letter being sent to people linked to this site saying 'thanks for your photo but I cannot open it' - or 'my hair was longer then!'

if you get such a message just dump it.

I'd echo your concern that this is probably nefarious activity. Please do send a copy of any suspect mail through to me at theatre@theatre.asn.au if you would like me to investigate.

It may be worth noting that unless members explicitly posts their email address in an audition/production listing or in the body of a post or comment, email addresses supplied when registering on the site are neither publicly available nor visible to anyone but three people with administrator accounts.
