Yirra Yaakin will be holding auditions during early
September for the following roles, in a new David Milroy play, which is to tour
the WA Goldfields region later this year.

Cast

Denni-             Aboriginal Male, 19-27, Can rap
& Act

Jay Jay-          Aboriginal Male, 17-23, Can rap &
Act

Cindy-             Aboriginal Female, 19-27, Can rap
& Act

Karla-              Aboriginal Female, 17-23, Can rap
& Act

Auditions will be held in Perth
on Tuesday 8^th September and in Kalgoorlie on Thursday 10^th September.
Please note, actors must be available for the full rehearsal process, (toe be held in Perth),  followed
by the six week tour period. Artistic Director, Kyle Morisson will be
evaluating on the following basis

Drama-

All people
auditioning will be required to perform a monologue, 2 – 5 mins long, preferably
a contemporary piece, however any piece will do.

Rap song-

All people
Auditioning will be required to perform a rap song, 2 – 5 mins, Aussie Hip Hop
is preferable, but any rap song is okay.

Workshops-

Workshops are a
major part of the tour and we will need people who feel, (after suitable training),
that can run these workshops. Those auditioning will be asked to think of a
game, (2- 5 mins long), or exercise to help reinforce the health messages
contained within the show.
