Our Actors Studio will be for 17-26 year olds and cover a range of subjects on a Wednesday night. Artistic Director Phil Thomson has lined up some top tutors to cover a heady range of performing skills for actors. Come for just one or all nine. Director Renato Fabretti is doing a last minute callout for male actors to audition for ‘Mine’ by Jane Bodie – this tense psychological thriller by an award winning playwright (currently head of playwrighting at NIDA) requires a mix of male and female roles. Last weekends auditions had plenty of auditionees, but the director is keen to see more male actors to give himself the broadest choice possible for the core group of five ‘couples’.

We are also running an Actors Studio 6pm-9pm at King St Arts Centre on Wednesday nights for 18-26 year old theatre makers - this Wedensday is for directors, the following three Wednesdays (Feb 29th, March 7th and March 14th) is training in devising and scripting for the stage, MArch 21st and 28th will be developing and rehearsing new work, and April 4th will be a social evening for WAYTCo members.

WAYTCo are gearing up for 2012 launching acting classes for 12-19 year olds from February 5th, Theatre Lab for emerging performers, writers and directors from February 8th, Theatre Club on February 13th and our first major production MINE by Jane Bodie with a cast of 16 mainly teenage characters auditions in March followed by production opening early June at the Subiaco Arts Centre.
