UPDATE 13/5/2008: The migration is all but finished. There will be another outage in the  early hours of Thursdy morning and perhaps some tuning over the next few days. Otherwise, we're up and running on the (third) new server and you should notice a huge improvement in performance plus a few of the previously disabled features are back. Huge thanks to Mark and Adrian for all their work on this! Apart from a hiccup between 4-6am  this morning the switchover went very smoothly last night. This update is just scratching the surface of major changes that will be following later this year. Stay tuned for more announcements!

For those struggling to plumb the depths of El's more cryptic than usual and most recent blog, I can cast some illumination on the murkier depths of pear-shaped hiccups.

I was in the midst of rehearsal last week when an ashen-faced Pat Stroud arrived at the door with a message that I needed to call Sharon, my wife, urgently. As it turned out, my father had passed away suddenly at the age of 72.

... well, I wish. Casting for Cosi is, more accurately, almost complete. Complete enough that I figure I can publish the known cast list and just hope that the last remaining role will be confirmed in the next day or so.

You'd think it would be a director's dream to be swamped with choices after a productive round of auditions but it really is a mixed blessing.

I'm coming to the end of a couple of weeks of auditions for Cosi and am now faced with the daunting prospect of selecting a cast from amongst some of the amazing people that auditioned.

It's been genuinely exciting to have to add an extra evening of auditions to accommodate the interest of nearly fifty people looking to audition for Cosi and I can honestly say I've been having a ball at the auditions.
