Joel, may I suggest instead

Joel, may I suggest instead of posting (numerous times) here where you don't seem to be having any luck - try approaching friends who are interested in writing a script, or a local university student who is studying writing. Either that or try looking for some mentorship programs which will partner you up with a professional writer (state or federal funding programs, writers' organisations, scriptwriting organisations, many of these offer mentorship or similar programs).

The fact is that very few people might be willing to work with you due to your age and lack of resources (ie. money/opportunities to see the script produced). Proactivity will do more for you than hoping someone will respond here.

(For what it's worth, if you're planning on writing it yourself, then perhaps what you need is an editor and not a writer. In which case, there are plenty out there for hire, and many of the above mentioned organisations also offer services that review, edit or critique your script once it's written. You can also instead approach an amateur theatre group once the script is written and have a play reading, where actual actors and such can critique the work)

"but no one i really know has the same lstyle of writing i LOVE, i love dark films, real films cult stuff."

Which is why I suggest being more proactive and approaching someone who you do like, or writing it yourself either with or without a mentor. There are indeed many programs and funding opportunities out there that you can apply for which will ARRANGE MENTORSHIP WITH AN ARTIST OF YOUR CHOOSING - so long as that person agrees to do it of course, but hey, if you have a screenwriter you admire, why not see if they'd mentor you?

(One thing I've forgotten: why not take some extra-curricular classes in screenwriting? There are plenty around Aus., and if not in screenwriting, then do a short course in creative writing at least. Your grammar and spelling could use the training, and it would help you in developing your idea)

If the issue is that you don't know how to write a script, then there are many ways to learn that, including free information available on the net or classes as I suggest. If it's merely that you have an idea, know how to write a script, but can't write it the way you want it to come out, then it's worth looking at getting a writer or editor to help you.

"im just hoping someone out there is willing to give there time up if they have the same vision as me."

The problem is that very few people do have both the time and interest, especially if the project is not their baby. It's an unfortunate situation in our country where playwrights/screenwriters do not have a lot of opportunities and will spend their time doing projects that are important to them.

"i've already pitched my plot to this indie company that seem very interested in my idea as they are getting ready to produce a feature early next year an looking for a teen film."

Well good luck with that, but I do think some of my suggestions are worth looking into. The people who get their scripts produced in this country are not the ones posting on forums hoping someone will notice and not looking at other (very good and useful) opportunities. If you do wish to post on forums, I'd recommend checking out the numerous sites for screenwriters and film makers that exist out there. You'd have better luck on a site more specific to your needs.

(And before anyone begins: I know I sound harsh, but as with giving advice to wannabe actors, it's a tough world, and proactivity is your best friend)

Manly Musical Society (Sydney) presents
Oklahoma!

David Izzard

Oklahoma! is the one of the first of what were called the American ‘book’ musicals where the music and lyrics added to and expanded on the story and as a result includes such classics as “Oh what a beautiful morning”, “Surrey with a fringe on top” and the cheeky “I’m jest a girl who Caint say no”. Manly Musical society in association with Bizzie productions have taken this well-loved musical and breathed new life into it with an amazingly talented young cast. The result is a vibrant and energetic retelling of this much loved piece. Book your tickets today to see the best of Sydney community theatre come together to present one of the most loved musicals of our time.
