THE “legendary ladies” from The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate are gearing up to present Macbeth at Koorliny Arts Centre next month.
They are keen as mustard, but unfortunately their enthusiasm is not matched by their ability, and the results are disastrous albeit hilarious.
Farndale’s Macbeth, directed by Paul Treasure, is the first Kwinana Theatre Workshop production for 2012.
Starring Kharlee Hamel, Rachael Hayter, Mel Sklenars, Penny Ramsay, Pamela Brown, Claire Ashcroft, Mark Thompson and Don Lee, the play posits the question: what will the world’s worst dramatic society do to Shakespeare's most hazardous play?
From the casting and program, to the set, lighting and sound, whatever can go wrong will go wrong, but the show must go on.
Performance dates are February 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25 and March 1 and 2 at 8pm, and February 19 and 26 at 2pm.
To book, contact Koorliny Arts Centre on 9467 7118.
Tickets cost $20 adult, $17 concession.
