Dancing

hi just wondering if there is anyone who could give me advice on the best style of dancing to study if i wish to pursue a career in musical theatre? I thought that ballet might be of use as well as Jazz, but i am really just guessing. also, if anyone can give me
a good website that gives a better run down on how to write a CV that would also be really helpful. I know how to write
a CV, I would just like to improve my skills. again sorry if there has already been a post like this. thanks Smiling

If you want a career in music theatre, ideally you'd be studying more than one style of dance. Jazz is a good one to start off with, as most modern musicals and choreographers use jazz-based routines. Tap and ballet movements can also feature heavily in a lot of chorrie. But any classes you can get to - whether they're hip-hop, swing, Latin, whatever - will of course improve your coordination and add to your bag of tricks!

An actor's CV looks very different to one you find on careers websites. Go to agents' websites and check out some of their actors' CVs; if you find a layout that looks effective, use it!
