PICA not to close - yet.

According to an article in Today's West Australian, PICA has reversed its earlier decision to close their doors on their theatre located in the Perth Cultural Centre. Prior to this rather small article, PICA had made plans to close the theatre due to rising expenses and lack of funds.

Over the past two months, they have been engaged in talks with the Department of Culture and the Arts. The end result of these talks is that the theatre will remain open for another year with a reduced program to fit within PICA's current budgetary limits. DCA has also hired a consultant that will assist in a review of PICA's future plans.
