City Head - a preview now on Youtube!!

Na | 09/07/2007 - 18:25

Yay! I've finally transferred the video of City Head to my computer - so you can now view a short excerpt of it on Youtube. The sound isn't great, but hey... Anyway, here you can find scene one, and a short preview of the Lego city (didn't want to give too much away!)

Enjoy!

I only wish the video quality was a bit better...

You can't win with uploading videos. I had a great looking video, uploaded it and suddenly crap quality. It's as if the net completely re-qualities work.

Oh we posted a puppetry one too now Na...something we mucked around with the other day...there are a few epsidoes coming along the line.

It's on the sights and sounds page...

Actually the quality is

Actually the quality is more to do with using a home video camera and my mum shooting the video. The sound was bad quality probably because she was sitting at the back of the venue, further away from the actors.

Cool, I'll check out your video!

We used a home video camera

We used a home video camera too, no extended mic-ing and only have a USB transfer system which doesn't help. Still after export from the editing software it looks great, upload onto the net, different story.

Yeah, maybe the file format

Yeah, maybe the file format screws with it.

Just looked at the video - love the concept! The thing (not the bird, I couldn't tell what it was... a sheep?) is very funny. Smiling Very kermit frog voice!

You guys should read Puppetvision.blogspot.com. The guy who runs it has a lot of great info/links about producing puppetry videos for the net. (See this link: http://www.squidoo.com/puppetvision/)

The green thing is just that...a thing. A thing I made out of the 'Blue Boy' free plan available online. My girlfriend and I had a puppet making day. She has a female puppet. Jarrod claims it's his elmo voice.

There are better episodes ahead.

The elderly crocodile is one of my favourite characters in the series...it's an old stuffed toy that I ripped open and pulled the stuffing out of.

Ah, so I wasn't wrong in

Ah, so I wasn't wrong in calling it a thing. Very cute!

I love puppet making days. My company did them in 2003 - back when we had time - and it's always so much fun. The good thing was that we all work well together, and we shared a lot of the puppets, so no-one really made one puppet by themselves.

I'll be sure to look for the next episode!

(Hopefully I'll be able to make something new soon, but work is - as usual - all over the place, with deadlines moved back and forth and new stuff to do. But fingers crossed you'll see something new soon. I bought a new teddy bear over the weekend, plus some clay... so who knows?)
