I doubt that the ABS has stats for the last couple of years, but I'd try them first. Second I would approach any government body, like the Australia Council for the Arts, their theatre board or any of their state branches.

Next I would try MEAA and Live Performance Australia. Peak bodies are usually the ones to collect information like that. Also universities...
