Physical Theatre and Improvisation Workshops
for Young People ages 16-25
at the Mechanics' Institute Hall
Tues, Weds, Thurs, 26, 27, 28 June
12 noon - 3 p.m.
Cost $60 for the three sessions
The aim of the workshops are:
to cover various elemenst of physical theatre including
developing character elements
creating physical comedy
learning acro-balance
The workshops will be run by Josh Mitchell
Josh has performed in Warrandyte in a number of productions inclduing Bouncers in 2003 and regularly in the Festival Follies. Josh was awarded the Lawrnce-Mayall bursary for young performing artists in 2002 and subsequently went onto to complete a degreee in Dance and Drama at Deakin University. He is studying a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education. With colleagues he has created a performance company - Random Take Away. Together they have performed in schools, at last year's Melbourne Fringe Festival and at this year's Stamping Ground Festival in NSW and also the Warrandyte Festival.
