Impro Melbourne is hosting a series of workshops run by professional actors for professional actors to explore spontaneous improvisation. For anyone interested in honing their impro skills for:
--Auditions
--Stage work
-- Rehearsal techniques
--Improvised work for theatre or television
Workshops will be responsive to participant needs and will cover:
-- Impro basics (spontaneity, being present, removing fear)
-- Scene work (inspiring your partner, using offers, developing a narrative, playing the moment)
-- Character work (discovery through impulse, offers and response)
-- Releasing creative blocks (playing the moment with commitment, leaping into the unknown)

Patti Stiles is in demand worldwide as an improvisation performer and teacher. Her interpretation, and extension of Johnstone's work and philosophy, combined with her wealth of performance experience has made her a "must have" teacher for performers and companies wishing to create spontaneous theatre with fine skill, strong narrative and style. She has taught at Central School of Speech and Drama and RADA in London.
