A series of workshops run by professional actors for professional actors to explore spontaneous improvisation.
For anyone interested in honing their impro skills for:
Auditions
Stage work
Rehearsal techniques
Improvised work for theatre or television
Workshops will be responsive to participant needs and will cover:
Impro basics (spontaneity, being present, removing fear)
Scene work (inspiring your partner, using offers, developing a narrative, playing the moment)
Character work (discovery through impulse, offers and response)
Releasing creative blocks (playing the moment with commitment, leaping into the unknown)
The Instructor
Jenny Lovell has been performing in theatre, film and TV for over 20 years. She has performed, directed and taught impro in Sydney, Melbourne and overseas in USA, Canada and Hong Kong. Television and film appearances include: Prisoner, Picnic At Hanging Rock, and Gallipoli.
