Improvisation Workshops for Actors

“ It restored my confidence in myself and in impro. It reminded me to be more playful and daring with my craft. I don't think it is any co-incidence that since starting the course I have got 2 different acting jobs. “
Participant Actors Workshops 2008

A series of workshops run by professional actors for professional actors to explore spontaneous improvisation.

For anyone interested in honing their impro skills for:

 Auditions
 Stage work
 Rehearsal techniques
 Improvised work for theatre or television

Workshops will be responsive to participant needs and will cover:

 Impro basics (spontaneity, being present, removing fear)
 Scene work (inspiring your partner, using offers, developing a narrative, playing the moment)
 Character work (discovery through impulse, offers and response)
 Releasing creative blocks (playing the moment with commitment, leaping into the unknown)

The Instructor

Jenny Lovell has been performing in theatre, film and TV for over 20 years. She has performed, directed and taught impro in Sydney, Melbourne and overseas in USA, Canada and Hong Kong. Television and film appearances include: Prisoner, Picnic At Hanging Rock, and Gallipoli.
