Beginner - 8 weeks
This course focuses on how to approach a script and how
to bring
the most believable character to life for the camera. It
introduces
techniques that will help free the actor from
inhibitions, giving
them greater access to their emotional and imaginative
life.
Throughout the course you will work through a number of
scenes
from a variety of genres.
This course also covers auditioning techniques and you
will be
screen tested by a casting director following the
course. You
will walk away with pieces on tape suitable for use on
your show
reel.
By the end of the course students will have learnt
skills to
help them commit to a truthful performance, been exposed
to numerous
acting techniques and will have learnt how to cope with
performance
nerves You will also be put on 2 Divas casting database
to be
considered for suitable castings.

This course is suitable for anyone who has an interest
in acting
for television or film. It covers the foundational
elements of
on camera acting. No prior experience is necessary to
participate
in this course.

Tony Nikolakopoulos
has had an impressive career as an actor, director,
writer and
producer.
He has appeared in productions such as Malthouse
Theatre:
The Spook. Thirdcosta Productions: Wog Story.
Ranters
Theatre Co: Roulette. STCSA: Court Yard of
Miracles.
National Tour: Wog and his Mates. Kali Techni
Productions:
Honeymoon in Hellas and more recently Las Vegas
the musical
at the State Theatre in Sydney, Tony was also
in August
Osage County for the MTC.
He has directed over 100 productions for the CPCA over
the past
15 years. He lectured in the Drama department at Rusden/Deakin
University for 6 years and directed over 10
productions for
Kali Techni Productions which included Last Proxy,
(director,
writer and producer),which toured nationally for 2
years.
Tony's television credits include Pacific,
Underbelly, All
Saints, East West 101, Whatever happened to that guy,
Tangle,
City Homicide, Pirate Island "Lost Treasure of Fiji",
Little Oberon, Jason, Holly's Heroes, The Murray Whelan
Series,
Scooter Secret Agent, Stingers, Blue Heelers, State
Coroner,
SeaChange, Janus, Embassy. Equally impressive are
his film
credits: Head On, The Independent, Bad Language, The
Wog Boy,
The Extra, Tom White, The Wannabes, Kangaroo Jack, Life.
