Stand - up Comedy
course

8 weeks

This
course is designed to teach you the skills and techniques necessary
to be able to perform stand-up comedy. The main focus is on stage
craft, presentation, finding your inner comic persona, writing
and performing jokes in front of an audience.
The ultimate goal of the course is to empower participants with
the confidence to perform their own original material in front
of an audience and the steps necessary to pursue a career in
comedy as both writer and performer. Working within a supportive
atmosphere you'll discover the various methods of conveying comedic
material on stage and how to turn any idea into comedy gold.
You'll discover the clown that exists within each of us, as well
as other various forms of comedic expression, including character,
sketch and straight stand-up. Other areas covered include, vocal
delivery, working with an audience, psychology of stand-up, overcoming
