TheatreLab – empowering emerging performers.
The Western Australian Youth Theatre Company invites emerging theatre practioners to investigate, collaborate and celebrate theatre practise.
Commencing on March 9th and taking place over six consecutive Wednesday evenings at King St Arts Centre in central Perth, TheatreLab seeks to define the shape of the next generation of Australian performance for new audiences.
This is not a talking shop. It is active, participatory, collaborative user-led practical theatre workshops. In the beta phase, various members of WAYTCo, suppporters and board will lead practice-based sessions which will aim to form in a short time an ensemble that will determine a methodology and practise, using active open space technology to facilitate the creation of a useful tool for emerging theatre practitioners to get together and create, play, learn and engage.
