Try Musgroves in the city or Zenith in Claremont. They always have a big supply of good quality backing tapes (they cost about $30 - $50 for five or six songs).
If you can't get one or can't afford one you could bring your own accompanist or sing unaccompanied (some of the singing in the show is unaccompanied so this is quite appropriate). I asked David about this and he is fine with it.
