> i was wondering how celebritys an famous actors are found?
I find it interesting to look up actors on http://www.imdb.com - often their bios tell you some cool info about how they started in acting or got their break.
For example: Heath Ledger: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005132/bio
(Basically he did a lot of plays in school, started auditioning for tv & film in Sydney when school finished, landed a few small roles, then hit it big with Ten Things and the Patriot)
An interesting thing I've noticed is while some people start out in acting very young, some just seem to 'fall into' roles, some study acting at uni and some don't - it seems that most people who've made it 'big' have done it their own unique way - theres no set forumula for success.

If you're in Perth, the WAAPA. Its very competetive to get in however, especially the Diploma of Acting course. You have an advantage - you've decided what you want to do early! You can start building up experience and and a list of credits and have a big head start by the time you're ready to apply =)
The basic essential of a great actor is that he loves himself in acting. ~ Charlie Chaplin
