Hello
I must agree. Some of the puppetry I've seen at Fed Sq in the past has been amazing and even then I was disappointed at the way it was advertised with it mostly being marketed as something to keep kids busy during the holidays and the adult content being pushed in your face as R rated sort of adult and was a bit off putting really. What I actually experienced was so wonderful and diverse, I think Melbourne could really have a world class puppet festival if they went about it the right way. We have a lot of talented puppeteers as Fringe Fest proved last year. 'Sammy J & the Forest of Dreams' (with Heath McIvor puppeteer) won a Comedy Festival award this year and I'm sure will do well in Edinburgh. Anyway i look forward to seeing the puppetry on offer at Fed Sq this year.
