SA Writers Theatre is celebrating its 25th year and we are presenting Ross Barrett’s outrageous award winning* comedy Sherlock Holmes and “The Coming of the Fairies.”
Faced by one of the most challenging cases of their careers Holmes and Watson are convinced that they are facing Holmes’s arch enemy Moriarty. Suddenly Arthur Conan Doyle himself blunders into the plot. He’s struggling with his desire to be recognised as a major literary figure.
Doyle's spiritualism and general gullibility is the opposite of Holmes' cold logic. How could he have created the most analytical mind in fiction while still believing in Fairies? Watch the battle of the minds between Holmes and Doyle over who created whom.
Directed by Paula Carter and featuring Michael Baldwin, Don Chapman, Bronwyn James and John Mc Fadyen. (John appeared in the original 1994 production.)

*The Best New South Australian Play for 1994. Adelaide Advertiser.

The ticket price includes lunch of delicious home made soup (various choices) and crusty rolls commencing at 1.00pm.
The Bar will be open.
