Company information
The place is Rome and the time is 1890. A young girl from a well to do family decides to take up medicine as a career rather than marriage. This decision was to have a tremendous impact on the lives of thousands of others. The girl was MARIA MONTESSORI physician, feminist, social reformer, educator. Maria's dedicated fight for reform saw her grow into one of the most admired, influential and controversial women of the twentieth century. There are now over 22,000 Montessori schools in more than 110 countries. Agelink Theatre has responded to the WA Montessori community to assist in the worldwide centenary celebrations with the inspiring, thought provoking and compelling theatrical production, “The Greatest Woman in the World”, by WA playwright John Bishop. The play traces the life of this revolutionary woman and at the same time juxtaposes her public successes with her private failures. Directed by Jenny Davis, it stars theatre veteran Jenny McNae with a cast of eight of Perth’s finest actors. What is Susan's Secret?

Michael Parker & Susan Parker

David Heckingbottom

Cider Mill Inn is an old, rustic country inn owned by an endearing elderly couple, Michael and Susan Edwards. At first they appear to be bordering on senility. We quickly learn however that they are very clever con artists, preying on their unsuspecting guests. Using an elaborate check-in form, guests are, in fact, signing a work contract, requiring them to perform various improvements at the inn. Plumbers, tile layers, carpenters and electricians are recruited to do work they never expected. But what is Susan's secret?
