ARENA Arts and Entertainment Inc. is an independant arts co-operative. For 19 years now, we have created not only new works, but new ways of presenting those works. Currently we have an ARENA "family" of folk who are fiercely loyal, but who are also welcoming of new people to the company.

Founded in 1988, most of our work has been in the area of Theatre For Schools, where we provide Theatre Productions and Skills Workshops tailored to the needs and interests of W.A. Schools. These productions are run on a co-op basis with all income above production costs going directly to those people involved in the show.

We have produced more than 140 Arts Projects, which have had over 2700 performances for an audience in excess of 800 000.

Our recent Community Theatre Projects include stage adaptations of Terry Pratchett's WYRD SISTERS (2001), LORDS AND LADIES (2002), CARPE JUGULUM (2003), MONSTROUS REGIMENT (2004), as well as DOCTOR WHO : HELLBLOSSOM (2002), and TEMPORO (2004), THE MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR (2005) and SANTA'S SPACE CHRISMAS(2005). ARENA has also had some recent success at DRAMAFEST 2007, winning awards for Best Actor, Best Director, Best Costumes and Best Stage Management.

We aim to provide affordable theatre for new and existing audiences and to provide creative and financial opportunities for those working in the arts industry.

Despite producing the works of people currently involved in ARENA, or the works of others that people currently involved in ARENA are crazy about, we always welcome people who have Theatre For Schools ideas, or indeed ideas for any production, to come forward with them. We can offer personnel, financial and resource support to help your production become a reality.

2008 sees ARENA present its 20th annual Theatre For Schools Program. It involves workshops and productions for Primary School and Libraries, a further sequel in our very successful and highly acclaimed series of THE STORYKEEPER productions (now in it's 15th year!). In the realm (we're avoiding saying "in the arena" since it be a tautology .. duh!) of COMMUNITY THEATRE Projects, we will be following the interests of our current members in producing another Terry Pratchett production!
