Brave Touch Productions is a newly formed Sydney based professional theatre company, focused on presenting professional and profit-share based theatrical productions across NSW Australia and will eventually extend interstate.
John Michael Burdon has over ten years in the theatre industry and currently works as a professional director, choreographer and actor. Brave Touch Productions has been formed with the intent to provide current working actors a new platform to springboard off as well as provide actors a cross over from the amateur to professional theatre circuit.
Brave Touch Productions officially launches on July 1st 2010 with the company's inaugural season announced late yesterday. A press release will soon be issued.
The company's official website will also be launched on July 1st 2010.
Brave Touch Productions will also provide theatre across various areas of NSW instead of concentrating on the inner city alone. With productions scheduled for the Inner City Sydney, Campbelltown, the Southern Highlands, Wollongong and Parramatta to name a few, the company wishes to extend the love of theatre to people who may not be able to necessarily afford the luxury of travelling in the inner city constantly for work.
We are always looking for actors and performers of all ages and experience - from professional working actors to actors working in the amateur theatre circuit and looking to make the leap into the professional industry.
We are also interested in up and coming directors, choreographers and technical crew, to give you the chance to submit your own personal endeavours in the theatre and create your own work. Submissions for Brave Touch's second theatrical season will open in February 2011.
If you would like to be notified of upcoming auditions and/or productions or if you are a working artistic member of the theatre scene such as a producer, director, choreographer, musical director, stage manager etc please contact us at bravetouchproductions@live.com.au to keep up to date with this exciting new company and what is in store for the next twelve months and beyond.

If history is told by the victors, the story of war is usually told by the blokes. Now it's the ‘sheilas' turn. Nearly 1000 Australian women had a part in the Vietnam War as entertainers, journalists, volunteers and nurses. The one thing they have in common is that their lives were changed forever by Vietnam. For many of them it was the most vital and alive they have ever felt. This is their story.
