What the #%^#@**@& is Capgun productions?
The first Capgun production was the premiere season of Shooting Star by Perth writer Nick Miller at the Blue Room theatre in May 1999.
"...a satisfyling, stylised piece of theatre"
Jacqueline Molloy West Australian May 20th 1999
The second season was the sell out Blue Room season of Nick's second play, Wired.
"this likeable play succeeds on the strength of the performances and humorous dialogue"
Robert Cook West Australian September 1st 2000
The third season was Capgun's first non Australian work, the Australian premiere of I Have no mouth but I must scream, three short Argentinean plays from the days of the disappeared.
"especially moving"
Gareth Griffiths The Australian April 10th 2001
The fourth season was the political satire, Cryocycle. by new writer Peter Chikritzhs.
"very weird, very funny, just under an hour in length and well worth a look if you fancy something new and challenging?

Late in 2002 Capgun presented the four part film noir spoof Murder Me Dead
So while the evidence shows that the characters are completely over the top, the script jumps wildly all over the place, the costumes, wigs and accents are all highly suspect, there's a subplot or two that (at this stage) make no sense, one of the few characters we started to identify with has been killed off, and many of the gags are absolute groaners, the verdict is that it all works and most of it is very funny.

In 2003 Capgun presented Fifteen minutes of Fame A series of monologues about those who have it, those who want it, those who want to get rid of it and those who should never have had it in the first place.
I went to see 15 Minutes of Fame at the Blue Room Last Night and i must say it was worth every minute. There were 8 monologues by eight different writers performed by eight different professional actors.Sounds like a long night right? Wrong. Even though each monologue is around fifteen minutes long you hardly even notice the time fly by and the subjects are hilarious, thought provoking and reminiscent of actual events in the paper. The acting alone was exceptional...

Also in 2003, Capgun premiered Domestic Bliss, Damon Lockwood's one man comedy about families. Which in 2005 won the Naked Theatres ,Write Now award
In 2004 Capgun staged several return seasons of 15 Minutes of Fame and Domestic Bliss in Melbourne.
There is little room to criticise Domestic Bliss, as it is tight, quick and disarming, balancing adolescent humour and the innate tragedy of ChrisÂ’ story. Most importantly however, this performance is hilarious and a must see.

In 2005 Capgun staged Stephen Belber's aclaimed TAPE, at the Rechabites Hall as part of the Blue Room Theatre's Room to Move Season.
