The Constable Care Performance Company is one of very few WA arts organisations which employs significant numbers of young professional actors on an ongoing, well-paid and continuous basis. Becoming a member of the Company provides a unique opportunity to practice and hone professional acting, puppetry and comedy skills in a demanding children’s entertainment role – our cast needs to memorize eight to ten scripts at a time, play up to six male and female roles per show, and perform up to five times a day! The ability to drive and a love of adventure are also important, as we travel to every part of WA - often by small plane and 4WD when performing in very remote indigenous communities. Our Company performs for more than 150,000 children each year and individual cast members develop their own 'fan clubs' amongst their young audience, knowing all the while that they bear a considerable responsibility to further our aim of 'education through entertainment'.
