Company information
Evaporating Sun Evaporating Sun Productions are theatre makers. We are interested in contemporary, dialogue driven theatre that explores how we relate to each other. Our first show was Patrick Marbers award wining 'Closer', One of the best plays in the English language about sexual politics. We then produced Caryl Churchill's 'A Number' (The Age 4 stars) that explores personal identity and cloning. Our next production, at Northcote Town Hall in late April and early May is called 'Distant Bodies' and reflects our growing interest in Australian work. Written by emerging playright Barnaby Chiverton and directed by Noel Anderson, veteran of over 30 productions, Distant Bodies is a play about innocence, hope and communication - with just a hint of role play and bad sex. Check it out in the events section of this website.

Manly Musical Society (Sydney) presents
Oklahoma!

David Izzard

Oklahoma! is the one of the first of what were called the American ‘book’ musicals where the music and lyrics added to and expanded on the story and as a result includes such classics as “Oh what a beautiful morning”, “Surrey with a fringe on top” and the cheeky “I’m jest a girl who Caint say no”. Manly Musical society in association with Bizzie productions have taken this well-loved musical and breathed new life into it with an amazingly talented young cast. The result is a vibrant and energetic retelling of this much loved piece. Book your tickets today to see the best of Sydney community theatre come together to present one of the most loved musicals of our time.
