Company information
Mischa Ipp and Georgia King established the company with Alexis Davis. Tragically, in late 2010 Alexis’ life was cut short in a car accident. It is Little y's aim to perform and create work always in Alexis' honour. Mischa Ipp is now based in New York, whilst Georgia King and new recruit, Lynsey Trench, run the company in Perth.
In 2011 Little y produced their first full length devised play at The Blue Room Theatre called “Scent Tales” to a sold out crowd and rave reviews- “Scent Tales is a little miracle and the best show to emerge from the Perth theatre so far this year.”- David Zampatti, The West Australian
Little y were also invited to perform in “The Tribute to Miss Electric” at Manhattan’s Bar, at Canton Lounge Bar as part of “Velvet Sushi” as well producing "Slut", directed by Emily McLean and again to packed houses and rave reviews- They added excitement and fun to each line, and as always the ‘Little y Theatre’ team were excellent.”-Gordon the Optom, Theatre Australia Online.
In 2012 Little y will associate produce a show with Happy Dagger Theatre, as part of the Perth Fringe Festival called "Persians", the oldest written play in history.
Little y are passionate about producing high quality work, improving Perth’s theatre audiences and supporting local artists. That is why Little y also coordinates Advanced Acting Sessions; weekly acting classes for committed, talented actors to participate in workshops.
