Opera Prometheus is a non profit chamber opera company based in Sydney. Our aim is to give performance opportunities to young talented singers, musicians, conductors and stage directors in a safe and warm environment and also to offer operatic experience to wider and younger audience. Opera Prometheus runs three productions a year. Our repertoire is chosen based on four three aspects: the value of the music and the drama, vocal-welfare of our young artists and also the quality of experience for the audience members. Opera Prometheus believes that classical and operatic music should be accessible to everyone. We also believe in nurturing conscientious, informed and critical society; respecting the past and embracing the future.
