Company information
2010 season is looking good with The Female of the Species in May/June and then Picasso at the Lapin Agile and then our short play festival Fast and Furious in November

PTC as we're known locally have been in operation for 21 years now. We
started out as a splinter group from Warringah Music Theatre Company, to
give members a chance to act in plays and enhance their dramatic skills,
without having to worry about "two left feet" or being "tone deaf".

Our first venue was at the "Old Gym" which was part of the Narrabeen High
School. When the "Gym" was taken over by a gymnastics group, it was no
longer a suitable venue for PTC, funny that. We moved around the corner to
the North Narrabeen Community and Tennis Centre, which has an intimate stage
and seating for up to 90 patrons. It also means we can rehearse on the stage
area for the full run of rehearsals, instead of moving from hall to hall.

Since our inception, we have been proud to produce over 60 plays, which have
included comedy, drama, mystery, murder, black comedy, cabaret and even a
theatre restaurant. Some of the titles include. "Caravan", "The John Wayne
Principle", "Travelling North", "Gasping", "Silly Cow", "Pride and
Prejudice", "Much Ado About Nothing", "Taming of the Shrew","The Importance of Being Earnest"and many, many
more plays by both well known and local playwrights. More recently we have
taken on a pledge to try and produce a local play, by a local writer at least once a year and
have recently produced "Open for Inspection", "My Henry Lawson" and "Manly Mates",
all by Rozelle playwright Frank Hatherley. We also celebrate our 21st Birthday this year and have produced a new Australian Comedy "Boys Night In"by Richard Womack, another new piece "The Mascara Monologues" and our last show for 2005 Don's Party opens 11th November.

We welcome new members who are either interested in performing or working behind the scenes as technical crew, stage crew or front of house. Everyone is welcome at our meetings which are usually held on the first Wednesday of every month at the North Narrabeen Community Centre.

Manly Musical Society (Sydney) presents
Oklahoma!

David Izzard

Oklahoma! is the one of the first of what were called the American ‘book’ musicals where the music and lyrics added to and expanded on the story and as a result includes such classics as “Oh what a beautiful morning”, “Surrey with a fringe on top” and the cheeky “I’m jest a girl who Caint say no”. Manly Musical society in association with Bizzie productions have taken this well-loved musical and breathed new life into it with an amazingly talented young cast. The result is a vibrant and energetic retelling of this much loved piece. Book your tickets today to see the best of Sydney community theatre come together to present one of the most loved musicals of our time.
