Company information
Out in the desert, late at night, millions of stars, deep and unending light the stage; we feel the cold of the infinite blackness on our backs and the warmth of the fire before us; we stare into the flames and our bodies tingle as the inspiration hits; our creative spirit is realised and the story telling begins.
A modern day theatre, any time of day, really, a group of people sit in a circle in the empty space; we feel the cold of the bare, black room and the warmth of our breath; we stare into the centre and our bodies tingle as the inspiration hits; our creative spirit is realised and the story telling begins.
Drawing from our ancient story telling roots yet revealing through the technology of today, Rouse House builds on all that was to examine what is and guide us into the age of what is to come.
Rouse House creates theatre to energise the mind, stimulate the senses and tickle the soul; theatre that is boisterous, boundless, unconstrained and unconventional – all with a twist of elegance.
Our natural inclination is to present original work which draws from all types of performance art; but make no mistake, we create theatre – rousing, entertaining theatre.
