Sydney Youth Musical Theatre is an exceptional group of talented young performers known for their dedication, inventiveness and excellence in performance.
SYMT peforms two shows per year. The July production, known as the Senior Show, has a cast of 14 - 25 year olds and runs over two weekends. The Junior Show, held in November, has a cast of 10 - 18 year olds for one weekend. The Junior show is also a great way for aspiring Directors, Musical Directors and Choreographers to gain some experience.
SYMT has a dedicated group of past and life time members who stay involved in the society in number of ways. Some join the committee, others work on productions teams and most attend every show SYMT performs.

SYMT are currently accepting proposals for 2013 Shows. To obtain a production manual please email committee. We are always happy to have new members intested in production and basckstage roles as well as performers.

If history is told by the victors, the story of war is usually told by the blokes. Now it's the ‘sheilas' turn. Nearly 1000 Australian women had a part in the Vietnam War as entertainers, journalists, volunteers and nurses. The one thing they have in common is that their lives were changed forever by Vietnam. For many of them it was the most vital and alive they have ever felt. This is their story.
