To establish and develop, nurture and encourage the performing arts and musical theatre in the City of Hobsons Bay and the broader community
WMTC ... A new name ... A new theatre ... A new look ... A new start!
Williamstown Musical Theatre Inc. is a pro-amateur musical theatre group located in the western suburbs of Melbourne. It has rehearsed and performed in the City of Hobsons Bay for most of its 50 years.
Williamstown Musical Theatre Company produces two shows each year, usually in May and October/November.
The company performs at the Mechanics Institute Theatre in Williamstown. Which has recently just undergone renovations to improve our facilities.
We welcome new members at all times, whether they are on stage or looking for experience in any other aspect of theatre - backstage, props, lighting, sound, scenery construction and painting, costumes, make-up, hairstyles/wigs, publicity, front of house etc.
