After having a thorough discussion with a good friend, and doing some quick research on an un-named agent, I decided it might be worth revising an old post...
Agents Do Not Bulk Advertise. Here I am talking about non-descript (i.e. not production specific) adverts calling for actors for commercial TV, Film and the like, offering what sounds like very generous payments, on general employment site such as Seek and occasionally, and sadly, Star Now. Both these sites are great for what they do, but it is hard to monitor all the ads that get posted here so tread with caution. You are more likely to find legit opportunity on StarNow than other general access sites.
This doesn't refer to any review on this site. I have not named the play or the production as it is still running.
Theatre reviewing is subjective everyone knows that. What you have to hope is that the reviewer is sympathetic with the style and understands the story. With work that has been done before that’s fine because the reviewer will presumably come with some pre knowledge of what he or she is about to see and at least the feeling that they are sympathetic to the piece.

A sunny afternoon near Midland, my better half and I took a trip to the Midland Arts Centre for the early evening matinee. An odd time to commence;5pm is neither a real afternoon conventional matinee nor yet an evening show, it even confused one of the leading actors who turned up well into the first act.
Along with a small but appreciative audience, I saw ‘A Fairytale Of Sorts’ written, directed and narrated by Johnny Grimshaw tonight at the salubrious Midland Junction Arts Centre. While the publicity suggests this play is informed by Python and Disney, I surmise that there is also a goodly serve of Benny Hill in there as well.
