Course - 'Be The Host With The Most'
This
course is designed to give a mix of the skills and confidence
required to be an on-camera presenter. The course focuses on
developing your own personal presenting style. Attention will
be given to vocal delivery, camera to eye contact and physical
performance. You will walk away with 3 pieces that have been
professionally shot by videographer Justin Batchelor on DVD for
you to potentially edit to use as a showreel. You will also work
with an autocue as well as presenting live to camera. The course
will cover the following presenting styles: Lifestyle\Infotainment,
News\Current Affairs, Corporate Video, Commercials.

INSPIRATION DAY FOR ARTISTS

Ailsa
Piper's full day workshop offers processes to challenge and heighten
the engagement with the creative process. Participants are given
practical techniques to sharpen their focus and their practice,
as well as a series of self-esteem supports specifically tailored
to the challenges of life as an arts practitioner.
This workshop has proved beneficial to performers, visual artists,
musicians and even business people.
It requires a genuine commitment by participants to enlarging
their sense of their own possibilities, and to making concrete
change.

Beginner Course - 8 weeks
This course focuses on how to approach a script and how to bring
the most believable character to life for the camera. It introduces
techniques that will help free the actor from inhibitions, giving
them greater access to their emotional and imaginative life.
Throughout the course you will work through a number of scenes
from a variety of genres.
This course also covers auditioning techniques and you will be
screen tested by a casting director following the course. You
will walk away with pieces on tape suitable for use on your show
reel.
By the end of the course students will have learnt skills to
help them commit to a truthful performance, been exposed to numerous
acting techniques and will have learnt how to cope with performance
nerves You will also be put on 2 Divas casting database to be
considered for suitable castings.

Voice
Over

This
course focuses on developing the skills and versatility to be
a voice over artist. It is an introductory course which equips
students with the tools and requirements to go and record their
own voiceover demo CD.

INTRODUCTION
TO A GENERAL AMERICAN ACCENT - 5 WEEK COURSE

This
course is designed to introduce the acting student to a General
American accent. Vocal and acting exercises are incorporated
to help achieve an accurate reproduction of a General American
Accent and to develop a flexible use of the instrument. Class
work will include applying the dialect to a monologue(s) or scenes
to study and present. Although group structured, one-on-one assessment
will be provided within this course.
