This is a re-posting of my original Blog Posting Events in Theatre Australia. I have chosen to republish this under Bulletin Boards as it is the most frequently read forum. We still have far too many entries submitted without an accurate tagging of key search items such as Location. 2011-09-22 Updated to cover a section on To Post New or Re-use

Hi Everyone,

Hoping to put the feelers out to community theatre and muster up some votes for a short film I co-wrote and star in called UNWANTED FRIEND that has made it to the 16th Finalist competition in Tropfest 2012. Both myself and Sean Hawkins are WA lads and the rest of the cast and crew are WAAPA grads. We are currently in competition with a fair few celebrities and need to get as much support as possible so we can make the final. We are up against 9 other films, so we are extremely close to making it through. You can vote everyday per device!

Hi there guys! There are a stack of places open for people willing to be volunteer extras this Sunday morning at Picadilly Cinema in Perth for a feature film! As long as you're over 16 years of age, we'll have you! No experience needed, just enthusiasm!

1housemanagement | 02/02/2012 - 13:34

1house Management is an Australian based boutique agency. We exclusively represent and manage a selected number of talent who are handpicked by our professional team. We manage, nurture, guide and seek those who we believe are unique, talented and are committed to nurturing there talent. Based on this, we don't choose everyone that comes through our door. We are selective and this is what makes our boutique agency exclusive.

BACKGROUND ARTISTS is a newly created division under 1house Management in partnership with Logie award winner Paul O’Brien’s Actors Nest (Acting School).

Background Artists is a new and exciting endeavour that represents extras for television and film industry work. It is open to the public, with no age restrictions. Our Background Artists are trained to understand the fundamentals of what is required for the film and television industry.

Acting - 13-19 year olds PERTH

The Western Australian Youth Theatre company holds regular Sunday afternoon courses in ensemble theatre for young people between 12 and 19 years old. We recommend that participants be of High School age or above, and discourage primary school students from enrolling until they’ve made the move to High School.
