This is a re-posting of my original Blog Posting Events in Theatre Australia. I have chosen to republish this under Bulletin Boards as it is the most frequently read forum. We still have far too many entries submitted without an accurate tagging of key search items such as Location. 2011-09-22 Updated to cover a section on To Post New or Re-use

Lis Shelley, music directed by Christina Mimmocchi

It's 1886 in a bark hut on the Darling Downs. Things are dire for the Rudd family, the drought is biting and the bills are mounting up. Will Dad find a way of paying the bills? Will the bear industry save their bacon? Will Sarah find true love? Will Joe ever learn? Will the mystery of the Rudd’s adopted son be solved? And will it rain by Christmas?

The Blue Room Theatre Seasons

The Blue Room Theatre presents 16 Season productions annually, through a year round program, with applications called for twice a year. The Blue Room Theatre Seasons produce new work, discover and nurture new talent, and target and develop new audiences.
The Blue Room Theatre Seasons aim to support the artistic development of new performance, innovative ideas and exceptional performing artists in an affordable, accessible and creatively supportive environment. For Perth audiences, the Seasons provide a continuous, innovative and eclectic program of original, live performance.
Artists whose work is selected to be produced through the Seasons are offered four week's access to a fully equipped venue, with a three-week production season in either The Blue Room Main or Studio space. Both venues are intimate and flexible black box theatres (60 and 50 seats respectively). The small scale and intimacy of The Blue Room Theatre venues make them ideally suited for new and emerging producers to develop and showcase new work. Risk is minimised and artists are given the freedom to work with a high level of artistic autonomy.
Throughout their engagement with The Blue Room Theatre, artists will receive a high level of professional support including technical and production support and advice; marketing support including promotion as part of The Blue Room Theatre Season; front-of-house and booking service; support in business and project development; and a modest production fund. The Blue Room Theatre receives a 10% commission on all ticket sales.
