‘When we are married’ is a 1938 play by the English novelist J B Priestley who was famous for ‘An Inspector Calls’ and suing Graham Greene for defamation. Priestley despised the conceit and duplicity of the Edwardian middle classes, and this play was a tongue in cheek attack at them. Presented in the Limelight Theatre, Civic Drive, Wanneroo, the two and a quarter hour play starts at 8.00 pm.

Hi Everyone,
Hoping to put the feelers out to community theatre and muster up some votes for a short film I co-wrote and star in called UNWANTED FRIEND that has made it to the 16th Finalist competition in Tropfest 2012. Both myself and Sean Hawkins are WA lads and the rest of the cast and crew are WAAPA grads. We are currently in competition with a fair few celebrities and need to get as much support as possible so we can make the final. We are up against 9 other films, so we are extremely close to making it through. You can vote everyday per device!

Auditions at 7pm
At the comedy's core is Barney Cashman, a middle-aged owner of a successful seafood restaurant, married nebbish who wants to join the sexual revolution before it's too late. A gentle soul with no experience in adultery, he thinks his marriage no longer provides him with a sense of romantic adventure but fails in each of his three seductions:
• Elaine Navazio, a sexpot who likes cigarettes, whiskey, and other women's husbands who has been an hot blooded customer of his restaurant aged 35 – 50ish
• Bobbi Michele, an actress friend who he discovers is madder than a hatter; and a pot smoking beauty who has failed at any attempt at an acting career. Aged 25 – 30ish
• Jeannette Fisher, his wife's best friend, a staunch moralist. Possibly the most depressed prozac pooping women on the planet also 30-50ish
