The economy is in trouble and The Business Council is very worried about its members. So they take drastic action – they blackmail a wealthy young tax avoider, Sam, to start spending in their members’ shops. But there’s a problem – he’s a Scrooge who hates shopping!

Nice Productions is a theatre group, based in Melbourne, Australia. Our focus is to bring exciting original material to the stage and spice things up on the Melbourne cultural scene. We do not believe in following conventions and do not shy away from controversy, strong themes or offensive language. Nice Productions began its journey by presenting "Life Is Something: A contemporary study of Australian society in the context of modern suburbia" at the Melbourne Fringe 2011. We are now producing yet another original Australian script for MICF.
‘Miracle Man’ is a fascinating and hilarious act devised by Melbourne based Nicola Gunn and Pier Carthew. Nicola Gunn, who last year presented one of the Blue Room’s biggest successes ‘Hello, my name is …’ also won a Best Solo Award at the Edinburgh Festival. Pier has over the years been in such heavy performances as ‘City Homicide’, ‘Bikie Wars’, Shakespeare and ’Waiting for Godot’ but now he is proving himself in the ‘madness’ category with this one-man show.
‘Fifty Shades of Black’ was co-created by Karla Hart, Della Rae Morrison and Monica Main; it was then developed and scripted by Karla Hart. Multi-talented Karla is the manager of the women’s Noongar dance group and a TAFE lecturer. Della’s skills range from TV acting to being a musical director for an Aboriginal choir and musical co-ordinator for an Archie Roach tour.
