Acclaimed juggling duo, Get The Shoe will be performing in Australia for the first time as part of the annual SirkusCircus show on January 27, 2012.
The German duo combines the aesthetics of martial arts with their incredible skills in juggling and acrobatics to provide a spectacular – and hilarious – showcase. Jochen Pfeiffer and Florian Mueller-Reismann are ninja jugglers from Berlin and have toured internationally, picking up awards for their performances in Paris, China, Monaco, Moscow, and beyond. The International Juggling Association brought the prestigious Art Jennings Award back from retirement because Get The Shoe’s US show demonstrated a level of skill and professionalism at vaudeville which hasn’t been seen for many years.

I'll admit I had to drag myself out to see this, put off by the concept and by a general dislike of absurdism. But as I knew two of the actors involved I put in an appearance...well.
I'm very, very, very glad I did.

For the past 3 months, I have enjoyed the position of chairman of Theatre Kimberley - as far as we know, the ONLY theatre group based here in Broome. As such, I would describe it as 'semi-professional' rather than 'amateur' community theatre.
